(Lieutenant Colonel retired) . Katie, 73, went home to be with the Lord on May 9, 2001 after a lengthy illness. She was born in Duncan, OK on October 7, 1927 to Cleve and Dilla M. Roberts. She leaves: a sister, Christina and her husband, Hugh, of Tulsa; a nephew, Donel H. Randall, Garland, TX; a niece, Evelyn Lee and husband, Ronnie; a great- nephew, Jeff Lee; a great-niece, Jennifer Fly and husband, Lenny; a great-great-nephew, Garrett Wiley Fly, all of Oklahoma City; a great- niece, Sara Randall, Garland, TX; and an aunt, Ruth Williamson, Plano, TX. She graduated from high school in Duncan, OK in 1945 and went to the Mercy Hospital Nursing School in Oklahoma City and graduated in 1948. She joined the Air Force in 1956 and her tours of duty included Germany, the Phillipines and Japan. She retired from the service in 1976. She was a member of the Green Country Chapter, Tulsa Retired Officers Association (TROA) and was an active member of the Tulsa Christian Fellowship. Interment st Memorial Park.
