Strother Jr., was born in Boston, MA on April 19, 1935. The evening of May 6, 2001 Todd Simpson left this earth to be with Christ for eternity. To Betty his wife of 45 years, he was a faithful, loving husband and best friend. They were partners in serving Christ. To his children, he was a model of a healthy relationship with Christ. He was our provider, protector, counselor, comforter and teacher. He was a true gentleman, a loving and thoughtful son, an outdoorsman and a rancher. To others he used every day to display the truth of God's word. He reached out to the world. We would like to thank the countless people who prayed for him. His children and grandchildren will always remember Big Daddy. He is survived by: wife, Betty; children, Tori and Scott Schroer and family; Cathy and Dougal Cameron and family; Mary Frances and Strother Simpson III and family; Emily and Scott Heuerman and family; brothers, George R. Simpson, New York, Robert C. Simpson, Tulsa; aunt, Helen Grey Trippet; stepmother, Jean Ann Simpson, Tulsa. He was preceded in death by: daughter, Carolyn Meade; father, O. Strother Simpson; mother, Cordelia C. Simpson; brother, John G. Simpson; grandfather, J.R. Simpson; grandmother, Susan A. Simpson. A graduate of Cornell University Engineering School. In the 1970s Strother Jr. (Todd), invented the "Toddy Coffee Pot." He served on the Board of Directors of The Home-Stake Oil & Gas Company, The Home-Stake Royalty Company and Alamo Group.
