Tom was a charming man, who met a friend wherever he went. He loved traveling and spending time with his wife and grandchildren, at the family farm in Chile, where he lived for the last 20 years. Tom grew up in South America and was a graduate of Cascia Hall. He always believed that education was the key to everything and worked to help the underprivileged, he played an active role in establishing the first Day Center for the Homeless in Tulsa. His wife, Sandra Cabesa Simons, survives him; as well as his children, Whitney, Stephanie, Timothy, and Tommy; his stepchildren Helga and Manfred; numerous grandchildren; his brother, Richard; and his sister, Suzanne, as well as many other family members and friends. Service was held Wednesday, September 27, in Santiago, Chile. Tom will be missed very much and his family asks that memorials be made to the American Heart Association or the Day Center for the Homeless in Tulsa, OK. Tom loved life and his one disappointment was when he got to Casablanca the sign wasn't there, he really wanted that picture. Tulsa World Tulsa, Oklahoma October 15, 2006
