Jamestown Ave. Mrs. Wheete came her from her native Colorado Springs 46 years ago. She and her husband were print-makers for a number of years before retiring in 1941 and some of their works were displayed in many parts of the United States and Europe. During the 1930's they were invited by the Kansas City Woodcut Society to make a gift print which was reproduced in several national magazines. The prints were made from blocks of wood and other materials on which various colors were blended. Mrs. Wheete was a member of a number of print societies. Her husband is the only immediate survivor. Private funeral and burial services will be held Wednesday under direction of the Fitzgerald Funeral Home. Friends are making donations to their favorite charities.
