Donald Wise The major purpose was to find & record all the some of 50 Cemeteies in western Wagoner County. Orginally surveyed by : James Tyner & Alice Tyner Timmons and published in Our People And Where They Rest ,vol., 4,1971,page 102. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Stone Bluff,Cemetery ( It is belived to be the Original Cemetery) Section 11, R15E, T16N, Stone Bluff Township, Wagoner County, Oklahoma. One mile west of highway # 72. Abandoned... On top of a hill. Some sites still maintained and few burial places are fenced. Total number of graves are unknown. In 1988, Wise found only 17 of the 30 recorded monuments made in 1971, some 17 years earlier. Wise,did locate and record an additional monument for Amanda Armstrong which my have been over looked by Tyner & Timmons. For genealogical purposes, Wise, included the full birth & death dates.( Tyner & Timmons recorded only the years in their survey). Also information on two other burials for Cress and Thompson are included. Page 102. Section 16,R15E,T16N, Wagoner, County. Abandoned. in an open pasture. Total number of graves unknown. Tals seems to have been the orginal Stone Bluff Cemetery. Another Stone Bluff Cemetery excistes some two miles west which is fenced and maintained. known as ( Gibson Cemetery) today. When I looked for the cemetery I was unable to locate, however was able to locate Thanks to my step-father James Karns.
