All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== From the Coweta Times-Star, Thursday, August 29, 1968, page 1 Services Held For Mrs. Bruce Funeral services were held Saturday for Mrs. Icy Pearl Bruce in the Wright Chapel with Rev. Clive Jared officating [sic]. Burial was in Shahan Cemetery. Joyce Foster was soloist at the service, and Mrs. Clive Jared accompanied her on the piano. Pallbearers were F. F. Watkins, Floyd Hunt, Boyd Fisher, Herman Newman, U.T. Turnbow, and J. R. Snelson. Ice Pearl Bruce was born Feb. 20, 1894, at Ira, Mo., in Camden County and departed this life August 20, 1968, being 74 years and six months old. She was united in marriage to Andrew Bruce on Nov. 29, 1913. To their union were born six children. Mr. Bruce preceded her in death. Her survivors include two sons, Robert W. Bruce, of Stillwater, William A. Bruce, of the home, four daughters, Mrs. Vivian Carter, of Jackson, Mich., Mrs. Margaret Williamson, of Lodi, Calif., Mrs. Betty Anderton, of Kansas City, Mo., Mrs. June Krinke, of Lodi, Calif; 15 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren, and other relatives and friends. Mrs. Bruce graduated from Missouri State School for the Deaf at Fulton, Mo.
