Children: Jess of Wagoner; Sam of Tulsa; Mrs. Walter Newcomb of Coweta; Mrs. Glenn Wood of Pawhuska; Mrs. B. Webb of Portsmouth, Ohio. Reedy Goodpaster Born June 8, 1857. Married to John Goodpaster, Jan. 16, 1876. Died Dec. 25, 1924, age 67 years, 6 months, 17 days. Sister Goodpaster, was the mother of nine children. Four of which have passed away. The five living are Jess Goodpaster of Wagoner; Sam Goodpaster of Tulsa, Okla.; Mrs. Walter Newcomb of Coweta, Okla.; Mrs. Glenn Wood, of Pawhuska, Okla.; and Mrs. B. Webb of Portsmouth, Ohio. She leaves these five children and her husband, John Goodpaster, to mourn her departure. All of whom were present at her funeral except Mrs. Webb of Ohio. Sister Goodpaster was converted at the age of 33 and came into the light of holiness, and received the baptism of the Holy Ghost seven years ago. She died in the Pentecostal holiness faith. She was a faithful wife and a loving mother. She was loved by all. Mother, truly we miss you, and sorrow pierces our hearts, but we sorrow not as those that have no hope, for we expect to live with you again in a better world. Sister Goodpaster was laid to rest in the Peggs Cemetery, to await the resurrection of the Saints of God. Funeral preached from text, Job 14:10-14 by the writer. G. B. Tims, Pastor.
