All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Muskogee Newspaper: Ethel Pearl Hays 1912-2003 Ethel Pearl Hays, 90, of Wagoner, died Monday, March 3, 2003 at Tulsa, OK. The funeral service for Mrs. Hays will be at two o'clock Friday, March 7, 2003 at the Abundant Life Pentecostal Holiness Church in Wagoner. The Rev. Carl Murphy will officiate. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Wagoner. Pallbearers will be Farrell Rosson, Johnny Dale, Ray Don Gaylor, B.J. Hutchens, Louis Crow and David Holloway. Ethel Hays was born December 27, 1912 in Peggs, OK to Jesse and Mary Elizabeth (Crowder) Goodpaster. She and her husband, John Hays, raised their family in Wagoner and she continued to make her home there following his death in 1972. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two infant children, Donald Ray and Carolyn Kay; by a grandson, Baby John; two brothers, Roy and Raymond Goodpaster and a sister, Velma Gilmore. Mrs. Hays' family was her life, and they will greatly miss her. She is survived by her children and grandchildren; by 38 great grandchildren; ten great-great grandchildren; a brother, a sister, numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives; and friends.
