INGRAM 1912-2005 GROVE, Okla. - Norman W. Ingram, 92, died Tuesday, October 18, 2005 at his home in Grove. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 24, 2005 at First Christian Church in Grove with Dr. Wayne Shaw officiating. Burial will follow at Buzzard Cemetery with Masonic Rites by the Grove Masonic Lodge and Military Rites by the Grove Veterans Ritual Team. Family will greet friends on Sunday evening 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Ellis Funeral Home in Grove. Norman W. Ingram was born on December 24, 1912 in Wagoner, Oklahoma to Arthur and Gertrude (Igo) Ingram. He was a veteran of the United States Army Air Force serving during World War II. Norman was shot down on his 26th mission in a B-17 and was held as a POW for eighteen months. He was in The Black March. Norman was married to Frances Idella Bonnell Dec. 26, 1936 in Wagoner, OK and she preceded him in death on December 7, 1997. He worked as a postal carrier and clerk before retiring in 1975. Norman was a member of First Christian Church of Grove, Grove Masonic Lodge, Moose Lodge, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans, American Ex-prisoners of war, Elks Lodge, the Shriners and the Grove Senior Citizens Center where he enjoyed playing pool. Norman was under the compassionate care of Yvonne Grinell and Good Shepherd Hospice. Survivors include one son, Charles Ingram of Pierce City, Missouri; one daughter, Deborah Sue Emmons of Port Hueneme, California; two grandchildren, Cameron Lynch and Matthew Lampo; one sister, Olean Webb of Sacramento, California. He was preceded in death by his wife, his brother, Harry Ingram and sister Pauline Williams. Memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice, Suite 315, 2106 S. Main, Grove, Okla. 74344.
