The celebration of our Dad's home-going will be held at Sunshine Church, 515 Roberts Lane on Friday, March 10, at 12:00 p.m. Pastor McCane officiating. Internment will follow at Hillcrest Mortuary, 9101 Kern Canyon Road. Words cannot describe the love we have for our Dad. Dad was born on the 25th of October 1918, in Porter, Oklahoma. A World War II veteran in the Marine Corp, a member of the VFW and DAV, a member of the Foster Parent Association for many years, a church deacon and strong Christian and family man who loved his family more than words can tell. Woody is survived by his wife of 66 years, Ella Mae Kirk of Bakersfield; daughters, Margaret Isbell and Debbie; son, Troy, all of Bakersfield; 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, a host of family and friends.
