All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Jessie Mae Lowder Jessie Mae Lowder, 91, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, May 26, 1999. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. today at Llano Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Gil Lain of Paramount Baptist Church officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 Bell St. Mrs. Lowder was born in Fayetteville, Ark., and moved to Amarillo in 1940 from Muskogee, Okla. She graduated from Fort Gibson High School in Oklahoma. She was a homemaker and a member of Coulter Road Baptist Church and Woodmen of the World. She married Noel Albert Lowder in 1931 at Wagoner, Okla. He died in 1996. Survivors include two sons, David Lowder of Amarillo and Henry Hamilton Lowder of San Diego; two daughters, Molly Gay Butterfield of El Paso and Melanie Jeanne Grant of Las Cruces, N.M.; a brother, Max Hamilton of Flagstaff, Ariz.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. The family requests memorials be to Paramount Baptist Church Scholarship Fund.
