Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Joseph's Catholic Church with the Rev. Ray Crosier, the Rev. Peter Jaramillo, the Rev. Bud Erpen and the Rev. Bill Brashears as concelebrants. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia. Mrs. Steele was born in Wagoner, Okla., and moved to Amarillo in 1928. She graduated from St. Mary's Academy and worked with their alumnae for the past 55 years. During World War II, she was employed by Pantex, working in the temporary offices at Sixth and Polk while the plant was being built. Mrs. Steele had been a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church since 1954. She was a member of St. Rita's Circle of the Altar Society, St. Joseph's Rosary Group and the Third Order Secular Carmelites. She married Roy E. Steele in 1953 at Amarillo. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Bobby Steele and J.P. Steele, both of Amarillo; two daughters, Sister Mary Ana "Cathy" of the School Sisters of St. Francis at Panhandle and Cindy Steele of Houston; a brother, Gene F. Morrow of Amarillo; and a granddaughter. The family will be at 3501 Lynette. They suggest memorials be to St. Joseph's School Endowment Fund, 4122 S.
