The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. ------------------------------------------------------------------- DONALD WAYNE STEELMON TAHLEQUAH DAILY PRESS TAHLEQUAH, OK Wagoner- Funeral services for Don Steelmon, 49, of Wagoner will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 9, 2002, at the Mallett Funeral Home Chapel in Wagoner with Rev. Sam Keener officiating. Mr. Steelmon died Wednesday, March 6, 2002 at his home in Wagoner following a long illness, preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. Donald Wayne Steelmon was born Sept. 30, 1952, in Lost City to James Troy and Fayetta V. (Walker) Steelmon. He spent his early years in the Lost City area and had previously made his home in Coweta prior to moving to Wagoner. Steelmon was a welder and had been employed by Ace Air Cool Exchanger, Chandler Material, Baker Oil Tools and M.J. Lee Construction, and was a former employee of the city of Wagoner. He was the owner of the Prestolite Flea Market in Wagoner, where he enjoyed meeting and talking to people. He was a member of the Swimmer Church in Lost City and enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing softball and dominoes. Mr. Steelmon was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother and will be greatly missed by those who survive him. He is survived by his wife Tammy Steelmon of the home; children, Braden Kyle Grayson and Beth Grayson of the home; sons Donnie Wayne Steelmon and wife Shannon of Haskell, and Danny Wayne Steelmon and wife Melinda of Oklahoma City; his first wife, Donna Bratton of Claremore; brothers, James Steelmon and wife Patricia, Eugene Steelmon and wife Dala of Coweta; sister, Maxine Watkins, Christine Shade and husband Leonard, and Janetta Simpson all of Hulbert; his grandchildren, his pride and joy, Kaitlyn, Justin, Breanna, Faith, Makayle and Donald Troy; many nieces and nephews and other family members and friends. Pallbearers will be Jay Riddle, Jim McDuffie, Wayne Burrows, Jessie Wolf, Lynn Price, Anthony “Cool” Davis, Dennis Curtis and Ervill Wolf.
