Bell Mrs. Mary Marjorie (Young) Bell, 95, wife of Mr. W. A. "Red" Bell and retired United States Post Office employee, died at 11:40 p.m. on Thursday, October 19, in Bartlesville. Funeral services for Mrs. Bell will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 25, at the graveside in the Ethel Reece Cemetery, Barnsdall, Oklahoma. Mr. Leon Martin of the Barnsdall Christian Church will be the officiant. Committal prayers and interment will be directed by the Arnold Moore - Barnsdall Funeral Home. Mary Bell will lie in state in the Arnold Moore - Barnsdall Funeral Home where family and friends may call for their visitation until she is removed to the graveside for final rites on Wednesday morning. The family would appreciate memorial contributions in Mrs. Bell's name be made to the charity of their choice. An Indiana native, Mary Marjorie Young was born August 11, 1911 in Portland, Jay County. She was the daughter of George E. Young and Dolly (VanNurden) Young. Mary was reared and completed her education in the Portland, Indiana schools. She and William Augusta "Red" Bell were united in marriage on December 31,1935 at Carthage, Missouri and made their home near the Wolco community and Avant before settling in Barnsdall. Mary was an employee for the United States Post Office in Barnsdall and was retired following 22 years of service. Following the Bell's retirement, they continued their home in the Barnsdall community. Survivors are her husband, "Red", of the Barnsdall home; three sons and two daughters-in-law, William E. and Beth Ann (Clark) Bell of Barnsdall, Robert E. "Bob" Bell of Collinsville and Larry R. and Connie (Hare) Bell of Barnsdall; five grandchildren, Bruce Bell and wife, Laura, Brian Bell and wife, Cheryl, all of Marco Island, Florida, Brad Bell and wife, Pennie, of Denver, Colorado, Christopher Bell of Cushing and Tamara Eaves and husband, Nicolas of Barnsdall; five great grandchildren, Caleb, Brett and one to be named later all of Barnsdall, and Amber and Nicole Prange of Marco Island, Florida; and a sister Mrs. Lucille Henderson of Turley, Okla. She also leaves behind a multitude of friends.
