Black, 54 of Route 1, Ramona, died in a local hospital, Monday, April 16, 1956, at 7:45 a.m., following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Black was born April 19, 1901, in Ramona to John Street and Martha Bradshaw Street and received her schooling there. On February 28, 1937. She was married to Lavern Black at Sayre, Oklahoma. They then moved to Hobbs, New Mexico, remaining there until 1954 when they returned to Ramona to make their home. She was a member of the Ramona Church of God. Mrs. Black is survived by her husband, C. L. Black of the home, three daughters, Theobell Tate, Bartlesville, Ok, Cora Riley, Hobbs, New Mexico, and Stella Black of the home. Three sons, Junior Black, Hobbs, New Mexico, J.W. and Harold Black of the home. Four sisters, Mrs. P. A. (Alta) Henegar, Bartlesville, Mrs. Winifred (Gladys) Gray, Ramona, Mrs. W. F. (Lola Belle) McCollough, Bartlesville, Mrs. W. B. (Dorcas) McCollough of Hobbs, New Mexico. Two brothers, Leonard Street, Tulsa and Lawrence Street of Bartlesville, her father, John Street of Ramona and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Ramona High School. Rev. Andrew Minnick, Tulsa, assisted by Rev. Ruth Freeman, Pastor of the Church of God will officiate. Casket bearers: Norman Whitaker, Oscar Henegar, Wayne McCollough, Wayne Grigsby, Audrey Barnett and Leslie Street.
