Black Houston Walter Black 61, of Jennings, Oklahoma, died Thursday, December 20, 1979, at the V.A. Hospital in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Mr. Black was born July 21, 1918 in Houston, Missouri to William M. Black and Alice Melinda Fellers Black. He grew up and received his education in the Ramona School. Black served with the U.S. Army during World War II. After his honorable discharge he returned to the Ramona area, later moving to Hobbs, New Mexico where he was active as an oil field worker. Mr. Black is survived by his son, Huston Black, Ramona, one daughter Retta Jane Winebigler, Belleview, Washington; four brothers, Jay Black, Ramona, Lavern Black, Hobbs, New Mexico, Lucian Black, Jay, Oklahoma and George Black, Illinois; two sisters, Ada Krulac, Peoria, Illinois and Edna Price, Napa, California; and six grandchildren. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday in the Ramona Cemetery with Mr. Bill Cavin officiating.
