James Belcher, 74, of Bartlesville died at 4:55 p.m. Saturday at Jane 
Phillips Medical Center.

Services are pending with Walker-Brown Funeral Home.

Jim Belcher

Jim Belcher 74, of Bartlesville died 4:55 p.m. Saturday at the Jane
Phillips Medical Center. Graveside services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
Tuesday in the Dewey Cemetery and a Memorial service 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in
the Walker-Brown Chapel with Pastor Chuck McCarthy officiating. Jim was
born August 14, 1928 in Floydada, Texas to Ray & Mary Launa (Gee) Belcher.

He married Betty Lou Moore August 2, 1947 in Fort Worth, Texas. Jim worked
for Phillips Petroleum Company for 31 years as a computer operator,
retiring in 1986. He was active for 50 years as a sports official,
referring Football, Basketball & Baseball. Jim sang with the Frank
Phillips Mens Chorus, Philtones & the Philfour. He is survived by his wife
Betty of the home, 1 son Jim & his wife Connie of Tulsa, 2 daughters,
Karen & her husband John Sada of San Antonio, TX., & Patricia Metcalf of
Tulsa, 3 grandsons, Mark Belcher of Morton, TX., Scott Thompson of Cedar
Lake, Indiana & Chad Shaffer of Virginia, 2 granddaughters, Amanda
Daughtery of San Antonio, TX. & Ruth Ann Barnett of Wichita Falls, TX., 1
brother & 5 sisters. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Ray & Mary
Belcher, 2 brothers, 1 sister & 3 great grandchildren. Memorial
contribution can be made to Glenhaven Youth Ranch 748 Glenhaven Road
Plainview, Arkansas 72857-8862.
