Bowen Mrs. Elizabeth Jean Bowen, 75, former resident of Bartlesville, Oklahoma and Coffeyville, Kansas, died, Sunday evening at the West Park Medical Plaza Nursing Home in Topeka, Kansas following a long illness. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM Sunday at the Stumpff Funeral Home. Cremation services were held in Topeka, Kansas and interment will be held at a later date. Mrs. Bowen was born July 2, 1927 and passed away on January 12, 2003. She was retired from the U.S. Postal Service and was a former Women's' Auxiliary V.F. W. President in Pasadena, Texas. Mrs. Bowen was also a member of the Moose Lodge and the Senior Citizens Center of Bartlesville. Surviving siblings are Tom Bowen of Pasadena, Texas, Edward Bowen of Independence, Kansas, Curtis Bowen of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Christopher Bowen of Topeka, Kansas; Grandchildren are Jenifer Bowen of Pasadena, Texas, Misty Bowen of Webster, Texas, Amy Smith of Huffman, Texas and great-grandchild Megan Trowbridge of Webster, Texas.
