Brock from 2-12-2003 Examiner Enterprise Mrs. Georgia Ada (Killion) Brock, 93, widow of the late Gilbert Z. "Gib" Brock, died at 6:25 a.m. on Tuesday in Bartlesville. Funeral services for Mrs. Brock will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday at the graveside in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Dr. Paul Bowles, Senior Minister of the First United Methodist Church will be the officiant. Committal prayers and interment will be directed by the Arnold Moore Funeral Service. Memorials have been established for Mrs. Brock with the Bartlesville Playground Association, or to the church or charity of choice. Those wishing to give to the B.P.A. may forward their gifts to Post Office Box 405, Bartlesville, Oklahoma 74005. Mrs. Brock will lie in state in the Drawing Rooms of The Arnold Moore Funeral Residence where friends may call for their visitation until she is removed for graveside rites on Thursday morning. A native of Caney, Kansas, Georgia Ada Killion was born on December 12, 1909. She was the daughter of the late William Lawman Killiion and Ada (Allan) Killion. She was reared and received her education in Caney, Kansas. She and Gilbert Z. "Gib" Brock were married on January 14, 1927 at Oswego, Kansas and they made their home in Copan for two years prior to moving to Bartlesville in 1929. Mr. Brock formed a partnership with his father from 1929-1936 at which time he was employed by the engineering department of the Phillips Petroleum Co. Mr. and Mrs. Brock moved to Nowata, Okla. until 1941 and later moved to San Pedro, Calif., moving to Cushing, Okla. until 1944. Mr. and Mrs. Brock returned to Bartlesville in 1949 and was active in building contracting and investments. He joined partnership with his son, William C. Brock from 1945-1946. Mr. and Mrs. Brock owned and operated the Brock Drive-In on West Frank Phillips from 1968-1970 at which time he was retired. He preceded her in death on November 11, 1971 and since that time, Mrs. Brock has continued living in Bartlesville in retirement. Surviving are her son, William C. "Bill" Brock and his wife, Mrs. Kitty Sue (Grantham) Brock, of Bartlesville; one daughter, Mrs. Patricia (Brock) White , of Muskogee, Okla.; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one sister, Mrs. Lenora Tribble, Hawthorne, Calif. and a special friend and devoted caregiver, Mrs. Elsa Young, Bartlesville.
