Brock Mrs. Mabel Iola Brock, 90, retired secretary and resident of Bartlesville, died at 9:30 PM on Monday in the Geriatrics Division of the Jane Phillips Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday in the Hickory Grove Cemetery near Grove, Oklahoma with Pastor Galen Branham officiating. Services and interment will be directed by the Stumpff Funeral Home. Mabel Iola Brock was born on December 16, 1912 at Genoa, Nebraska the daughter of William and Frances (Edwards) Buchanan. She moved with her mother and sister to Denver, Colorado when she was 7 years old. She received her education in Denver and graduated from East Denver High School in 1931. She worked as a secretary after attending Business College. She married Leonard Lee Brock in 1933 and they resided in Denver until they moved to Fairland, Oklahoma in 1940. They lived on a farm and she worked as a secretary at Ogeechee Farms until her retirement in 1975 when they moved to Bartlesville. Mrs. Brock was a member of the Fairland Order of the Eastern Star and the Fairland United Methodist Church. Mrs. Brock is survived by two sons; Leonard Lee Brock, Jr. and his wife Mary of Bartlesville and Daniel Stephen Brock and his wife Barbara of The Woodlands, Texas, one daughter Mary Frances Clem of Kansas, Oklahoma, six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Washington County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/washington/washington.html
