Burch Mrs. Alice Carolyn (Ayling) Burch, 72, wife of Billy Dean "Bill" Burch, died at 7:50 a.m. on Thursday in the Emergency Room of the Jane Phillips Memorial Medical Center where she was rushed following a sudden illness suffered at her rural Ochelata home. Mrs. Burch will lie in state in the Drawing Rooms of The Arnold Moore Funeral Residence where friends may call for their visitation until Monday evening. Private family final rites will be directed by The Arnold Moore Funeral Service. Alice Carolyn Ayling was born on February 5, 1931 at Iola, Kansas in Allen County. She was the daughter of the late Harry Milton and Mary Dorothy (Oman) Ayling. During her youth, she moved to Tulsa, Okla. with her family members where she was reared and received her education, graduating with the Senior Class of 1949 from the Will Rogers High School. She and Billy Dean Burch were married in December of 1973 in Bartlesville and they made their first home here. Mrs. Burch was employed by National Zinc Co., was office manager for Dr. James R. Young and was retired from the Phillips Petroleum Co. in 1985. Mr. Burch has been active in local residential and commercial painting until his retirement in 2002. Since that time, Mr. and Mrs. Burch continued living in the rural Ochelata community. Surviving are her husband, Billy Dean "Bill" Burch, of the rural Ochelata home; one son, Brent R. Milam, Tulsa, Okla.; one grandson, Benjamin "Ben" Milam and one granddaughter, Ali Metcalf, both of rural Ochelata, Okla.; one sister, Mrs. Dorothy "Dodie" Miller, Bartlesville and one brother, Gene Ayling, Estero, Florida; one nephew, Michael Miller, Bartlesville and two nieces Ms. Leslye Tipton, Tulsa, Okla. and Ms. Melissa Miller, Moore, Okla.
