Barnes Ryan Mitchell Barnes passed away Monday, October 9, 2006. He was 20 years old. Ryan was born June 2, 1986 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, the son of Merle don and Leona Sue(Israel) Barnes. Ryan attended school in Wynona, Oklahoma, graduating with the Wynona High School Class of 2005. A member of the Oklahoma National Guard, he received his basic training at Fort. Benning, Georgia. Just recently, Ryan completed his first parachute jump, which purported scared his dad more than him. Tyan enjoyed participating in the local rodeos and round-up club events. He had even partnered with his brother in the team roping events at the Round-Up Cavalcade. Ryan was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Wynona. Survivors include his mother, Lee Barnes, of Tulsa; his father and stepmother, Merle Barnes and Bobbi Kyler of Wynona; a brother, Jacob Don Barnes, of Wynona; a stepsister, Amber Kyler, of Wynona; his grandparents, Reta Barnes of Bartlesville, Sandra and Eddie Paulsgrove of New Mexico, and John Israel of Wynona; a great-grand mother, Gladys Adkins of New Mexico; aunts and and uncle, Donna Barnes of Pawhuska and Tim and Donna Barnes of Pawhuska; numerous cousins and a host of other family and friends. Ryan was preceded in death by his grandfather, Orville Barnes and an uncle, Cloyd Barnes. Services will be held Friday, October 13, at 10:00 AM in the Wynona Assembly of God Church. The Rev. David Downing will officiate. Interment will be in the Pawhuska City Cemetery.
