Walter Clay, Jr., 61, 322 Virginia St. died  Thursday morning at the St. 
Joseph Medical Center in Wichita.

He was born on December 10.1926 in Dewey, Oklahoma, he was the son of 
Walter and Jessie May Chambers Clay, Sr. During World War 2 he served in 
the U.S. Navy.

He was a truck driver for Oliver F. Nelson Milk Company for many years 
before becoming a driver for the Associated Milk Producers.Inc.,in 
Wichita.

He is survived by one son Danny Clay of Manitou Springs, Colorado, two 
step-daughter Minnie Noel of Tulsa,Oklahoma and Rose Marie Russell of 
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son William Walter "Bill" 
Clay.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Hawks Funeral Home 
with Rev. Bill Benefiel officiating.

Interment will be in the Memorial Lawn Cemetery with Military Committal; 
services conducted by Spencer Ralston V F W Post #1254.

The casket will remain closed at all times, friends may call at the 
funeral home Saturday between 9 a m and 9 p m. Sunday noon until 9 p m.
