Curley Funeral services for Ms. Betty Lou Curley, 51, of Broken Arrow, will be held on Friday Feb. 21, 2003 at the Graveside in Fairfax Cemetery in Fairfax, Oklahoma. Pastor Joe Mathis of South Tulsa Christian Church will serve as the officiant. All funeral arrangements are under the direction of Amis-Kennard Funeral Service of Broken Arrow. Betty Lou was born on May 5, 1951 in the Pawnee Hospital in Pawnee, Oklahoma, to the late John Curley and Theresa McCartlins Curley. Betty Lou attended school in Bartlesville while she lived with her foster family, Gerald and Emma Smith. Betty then graduated from the Sulpher School for the Deaf. She was an excellent deaf interpreter and also held an Oklahoma Pharmacy Technician's Certificate. Betty Lou was a wonderful friend who lived her Christianity everyday by showing those around her a fine example. She attended South Tulsa Christian Church. She loved animals and children. Betty Lou will be lovingly remembered by everyone who knew her. Betty Lou Curley went to be with her lord on February 17, 2003 after a difficult illness, she was 51 years old. Ms. Curley is survived by; Mother - Theresa McCartlins Curley; Sisters - Elizabeth Fine and Margaret Ann Peak; Brothers - Charles James Curley and Benjamin Curley; Foster mother - Emma Smith; Foster Sisters - Sue Scruggins and Mary Graber.
