All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::NOT LISTED Campbell, Joreta Lusk "Jo" Joreta Lusk "Jo" Campbell passed away peacefully in her sleep Friday, Feb. 10, 2006, of respiratory failure at her home in Pecan Plantation, Granbury. Memorial service: 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Pecan Plantation Clubhouse. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Pecan Emergency Services, 9518 Monticello Drive, Granbury 76049, in appreciation for the many kindnesses they have shown Jo through the years. Jo was born in Dewey, Okla., the daughter of Osa Ellis Beryl and Maude Tepner Lusk. She was preceded in death by her half brother, Lyman Lusk; half sister, Opal Floral Lusk; brothers, Clarence Lusk and Winfred Lusk. As a businesswoman, Jo worked for American Airlines and was later a partner in condominium development. She was owner and manager of an executive offices service company in Irving, selling the company in 1998 and retiring with her husband to Pecan Plantation in Granbury. An avid and accomplished bridge player, Jo was a longtime member of the American Contract Bridge League, achieving life master status in 1974. In 1980, she was recognized as silver life master. She had been an active member of Pecan Plantation Woman's Club prior to her illness. Since retiring to Pecan Plantation, Jo took great pride in helping her husband, John, complete his book about the history of cable TV in Texas, editing and encouraging John even as her illness progressed. The finished manuscript went to the publishers only last month. Jo will truly be missed. Survivors: Devoted husband of 25 years, John G. Campbell; brother, Dudley Lusk; daughter, Karen Vandevoort VanNatta; John's four children; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; her beloved Pomeranians, Amy and Andy III; and her parrot, Maria.
