(Lucas) (Lehmer) Fitch, 79, passed away at 4:30 a.m. on Wednesday in the Heritage Villa Nursing Center, Bartlesville, OK. Funeral services for Mrs. Fitch will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday in the Memory Chapel of The Arnold Moore Funeral Residence. The Arnold Moore Funeral Service will direct committal prayers and interment in the Ochelata Cemetery. A native of Kansas, Alaine Louise Lucas was born on February 1, 1924 at Pittsburg. She was the daughter of the late George Washington and Vera (Crane) Lucas. Alaine was reared and received her education in the Pittsburg, Kansas Public Schools and was graduated with the Senior Class of 1942 from the Pittsburg, Kansas High School. She was united in marriage on July 25, 1942 to Mr. Robert Leroy Lehmer at Pittsburg, Kansas and they made their home there. Mr. Lehmer was in the military during World War II. Following his discharge from his military connection, the Lehmers continued their residence in Pittsburg. Mr. Lehmer was a structural engineer and in 1947 they moved to Tulsa, OK where Mr. Lehmer was employed as a structural engineer and eventually started his own Lehmer Manufacturing Company in Tulsa. Mr. Lehmer preceded her in death in 1984 in Tulsa. Alaine was an employee of Dillard's Department Store until her retirement in 1988. She and Mr. Eugene 'Gene' Fitch were married at Las Vegas, Nevada on September 13, 1989 and they made their home in the Matoaka Community south of Bartlesville living in retirement. Mrs. Fitch was a member of the Spotlight Theater in Tulsa for many years. At one time her entire family was in the cast of 'The Drunkard' production. She was a past member of the Will Rogers United Methodist Church of Tulsa, B.P.O.E., Tulsa, OK and the Eagles Lodge of Bartlesville. Surviving are her husband, Eugene 'Gene' Fitch, of the Bartlesville home; a son, Steve Lehmer, Texarkana, Texas; two daughters, Ms. Karron S. Chipman, Austin, Texas and Mrs. Kirk (Jan) Jewell, Edmond, Okla.; a brother, John and his wife, Robbie Lucas, Derby, Kansas; six grandchildren, Chris Chipman, John Chipman, Tony Lehmer, Elaine Martindale and her husband, Gregg, Ryan Jewell and Shane Jewell; and a great granddaughter, Allison E. Martindale. Preceding her in death were her father, mother, and a brother, George Lucas.
