He passed from this life and entered his home above on November 22, 1986, at the Seiling Municipal Hospital, Seiling, Oklahoma. Harold spent his early life in the Bartlesville area. Always a lover of music, he decided to use this talent for the enjoyment of self and others and for several years was a member of various musical groups both as a vocalist and with stringed instruments. In 1932, at Van Buren, Arkansas, Harold Hall and Gertrude Buffington were united in marriage. Harold Hall felt called into the ministry and for a period of 25 years following their marriage this young couple traveled the western coast of the United States teaching and preaching the word of the Lord in the many places where they felt called. When Mr. and Mrs. Hall came to Vici to make their home they soon saw the need for a home for elderly people who were no longer able to live alone and adequately care for themselves. They soon began planning for the fulfillment of this dream. The Vici Scottish Inn, what had been recently vacated, was chose for this location and so Vici's first nursing home was established. It soon became home for many elderly people who were in need of special nursing care. When Vici's present nursing home was completed, Mr. and Mrs. Hall soon found their dream continued by being able to assist in this new home in various ways. Following the death of his wife, Gertrude, on November 17th, 1978, Mr. Hall soon became a resident of the home and spent much of his time in helping others. His love and friendship for others was manifested by his king words of wit and wisdom, often bringing a ray of sunshine and joy into the lives of others. Mr. Hall will be remembered with affection by the many to whom he has ministered. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Henry and Martha Hall and by his devoted wife, Gertrude. He is survived by some nieces and nephews, and a host of beloved friends and neighbors. His philosophy of life is well expressed in a favorite poem of Edgar A. Guest, "Let me live in a house by the side of the road, and be a friend to man". Services for Mr. Hall were held Tuesday, November 25, 1986, at the Shaw Memorial Chapel, Vici, Oklahoma, at 2 p.m. Officiating was Melvin Rittenhouse, Minister, Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Woodward, Oklahoma. Internment was at Sunnyside Cemetery, Vici, under the direction of Shaw Funeral Home. ========= Card of Thanks As we don't have your addresses we take this means to thank you for your love, respect and consideration in the death and putting away of our brother-in-law and uncle, Harold Hall, also the lovely flowers were greatly appreciated.
