The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Source: Bartlesville - May 15, 1988 ----------------------------------------------------------------- Mrs. Viola Pearl Henshall nee Overacker Mrs. Viola Pearl Overacker-Henshall, 69, native area resident, was pronounced dead on arrival in the emergency room of Jane Phillips Hospital following a pedestrian-automobile accident on Washington Boulevard in Bartlesville, OKlahoma. Funeral services for Mrs. Henshall will be at 10 a.m. Thurday, in the Sanctuary of the First Church of the Nazarene. The Rev. Tom Buron and the Rev. LeRoy Newport will be the officiants. Comittal prayers and interment will be directed in the Ochelata Cemetery beside the grave of Clinton 'Sandy' Henshall by the Arnold Moore Funeral Service. Mrs. Henshall was born in Ramona on Februrary 17, 1919 to David Anthony and Hestella Griffith Overacker. She was reared in the Ochelata-Ramona communities and completed her education in the local schools. She and Raleigh Evans were married in Bartlesville, Oklahoma in 1935. She was later married to Tom Kearns at Claremore, Oklahoma in 1938. She and Clinton 'Sandy' Henshall were married March 19, 1945 in Sedan, Kansas, and they made their home in Bartlesville where he was employed with the National Zinc Co. Following his retirement in 1972, they continued their residency here until his death on August 25, 1979, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Mrs. Henshall has continued living here in retirement. Mrs. Henshall was a member of the James E. Bailey, Post No. 989 Auxilery. She also was a member of the Women of the Moose Lodge No. 1322, the Baretlesvile Eagles Lodge Auxiliary and the James H. Teel American Legion Post No. 165 Auxiliary. Mrs. Henshall will be in state in the Drawing Room of the Arnold Moore Funeral Residence where friends may call for visitation until she is removed to the church for services. Mrs. Henshall is survived by four sons, Jerry Henshall, Bartlesville, Bill Eugene Evans, Ochelata, William Edward Henshall, Pixley, California, and Clinton Edward Henshall, Bartlesville. Two daughters, Mrs. Charles (Barbara) Pendergraff, Agra, Oklahoma, and Mrs. Lewis (Donna) Labache, Bartlesville; one brother, Roy Overacker, Barnsdall; five sisters, Mrs. Dolly Tennant, Ochelata; Mrs, Fern (Mary) Ford, Bartlesville; Mrs, Mart (Allie) Newport, Wapato, Washington; Mrs. Dan (Rose) Newport, Yakima, Washington; and Mrs. Charles (Beulah) Castleman, Ochelata; 21 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
