Jones Mr. Arnold Henry Jones, 81, Bartlesville resident and retired ranch manager, died on Saturday morning at his family home in Bartlesville. Funeral services for Mr. Jones will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday in the sanctuary of the United Methodist Church in Foraker, Oklahoma. Chaplain Roger Sheppard will be the officiant. Committal prayers and interment will be directed in the Foraker Cemetery by the Arnold Moore Funeral Service. Mr. Jones will lie in state in the Drawing Rooms of The Arnold Moore Funeral Residence, Bartlesville, where friends may call for their visitation until he is removed to Foraker for the services on Wednesday. Arnold Henry Jones was born June 4, 1925 at Foraker, Osage County, Oklahoma. He was the son of Lee Otis and Emma Anna Dora (Soehnholz) Jones. He was reared and received his education in the Houston and Grainola, Oklahoma schools. He was enlisted in the Marine corps and served his country in World War II in the Southwest Pacific Ocean on the Philippine Islands, Guam, Guadalcanal and Iwo Jima from August 25, 1943 until February 1, 1946 when he received his honorable discharge. He received several medals and awards during his time in combat. On July 18, 1952, Arnold and the former Miss Frieda Josephine Tanner were united in marriage at Agra, Oklahoma and they made their first home in Cushing, Oklahoma, where they lived until 1955 when they moved to Grainola, Oklahoma. Mr Jones was engaged in ranching and oilfield work, as well as road work in Oklahoma and Kansas. Mr. Jones was manager of the John F. Kane Ranch from 1985 until 1997 when they returned to Agra, Oklahoma where Mr. Jones worked in construction with his half-brother as a dozer operator until 2000 when he retired. Mr and Mrs. Jones moved to their present Bartlesville residence in 2005 to live in retirement. Mr. Jones was a life member of the V.F.W. and a life member of the Marine corps League. Arnold Henry Jones is survived by his wife of 54 years. Mrs Frieda Josephine (Tanner) Jones of the home; four sons, Glenn Neal Jones of Pawhuska, Oklahoma, Hugh Allen Jones and his wife, Della, of Oklahoma city, Oklahoma, Dennis James Hones of Arkansas City, Kansas and Bruce Leon Jones of Stillwater, Oklahoma; two daughters, Mrs. Arnetta Jo Stierwalt and her husband, Mikel "Mike" R. of Foraker, Oklahoma and Mrs. Cynthia Lynn Young and her husband, Steven of Arkansas City, Kansas; eleven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; four step- great-grandchildren; four brothers and three sisters. In addition to his father and mother, Mr. Jones was preceded in death by three brothers, one granddaughter, DeAnna Jones and one granddaughter-in-law, Krista Stierwalt.
