Lacefield J.C. Lacefield DALHART - J.C. Lacefield, 86, died Wednesday, May 8, 2002. Services will be at 3 p.m. today in First Christian Church with Barry Walker, minister, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Horizon Funeral Home. Mr. Lacefield was born Jan. 1, 1916, in Plumberville, Ark., to James W. and Cora "Groves" Lacefield. He later moved to Dewey, Okla., where he graduated from Dewey High School and attended business college. He married Loeulla Collier in 1938. He owned and operated a cleaning and tailor shop in Dewey before moving to Phillips in 1941. He worked for Phillips Petroleum until retiring in 1978. He enjoyed traveling after he retired. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; and a brother. Survivors include his wife, June; two sons, James Lacefield of Dalhart and Wyatt Lacefield of Borger; a brother, Walter Lacefield of Twenty-nine Palms, Calif.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
