All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Lawson, Johnie H, Sr. Johnie Hubern Lawson, Sr. 69, or rural Ramona, died at 1 p.m. on October 7, 1998, at the Oakdale Manor Nursing Home at Sand Springs, Oklahoma. Private family services will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the Stumpff-Nowata Funeral Home in the Ramona, Oklahoma Cemetery.. Lawson was born May 3, 1929 at Ramona to Asa Hubern and Rena Laughlin Lawson. He was raised and received his education in Ramona, graduating high school in 1947. Lawson entered the U.S. Marine Corp on April 29, 1952 and was honorable discharged on July 12, 1952. He married Martha Ann Myers on July 16, 1953. Lawson was a Journeyman Electrician and traveled the western United States; he was active in construction and commercial electrical wiring. In recent years he farmed and ranched in rural Ramona. Lawson is a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union of Tulsa. Survivors include a sons, Johnie Huber Jr., of Ramona; two daughters, Susan Alspach of Ramona and Shelly Tobey of Plano, Texas; two brothers, Charles of Dallas, Texas, and Don or Ramona, a sister, Agnes of Tulsa, nine grandchildren; two great grand children; and several nieces and nephews.
