Lemay Katherine Evelyn Lemay, 83, resident of Bartlesville, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday from her home in Bartlesville. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday in the First Wesleyan Church with Rev. Joe W. Colaw and Pastor Earl Olson officiating. Interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery.Funeral services and interment will be under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory. A memorial has been established and those who wish to make a contribution in memory of Mrs. Lemay may do so to; First Wesleyan Church 1776 Silver Lake Road, Bartlesville, Oklahoma 74006. Casket escorts will include; Dr. William Lemay, Steve Snelson, Steven Snelson, Kevin Snelson, Alan Meyer and Wes Tate. Honorary casket escorts will include; Adrian Osborne, Don Savage and Bruce Meyer. Mrs. Lemay was born September 7, 1923 at Wichita Falls, Texas to William T. and Mabel Grace (Terry) Parrie. She was raised and received her education in Wichita Falls, Texas and graduated from high school in Fort Worth, Texas. Katherine met J.W. Lemay at Gallup, New Mexico. Mrs. Lemay was employed with the civil services inspecting grenades, shells and bombs during WWII, in Texarkana for the Lone Star Ordinance Department, until August 1945. Mr. and Mrs. Lemay were married on June 8, 1945 at Texarkana. She remained in Texarkana while Mr. Lemay returned to military service. She was active singing with a Quartet on the Radio Gospel Hour in Texarkana. After moving to Bartlesville, Oklahoma in 1949 she was employed by Phillips Petroleum Company and later with the Coast-Osborne Real Estate Company as an agent. Mrs. Lemay was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was active in a number of local oranizations and a member of the First Wesleyan Church. Survivors include; her husband J. W. Lemay of the home; one son Dr. William K. Lemay and his wife Martha of Bartlesville; two daughters Karen Lemay Meyer and her husband Bruce of Bartlesville, Pamela Lemay Snelson and her husband Steve of Wann; one brother David Parrie of Taft, Texas; two sisters Mary Lou Savage of Denton, Texas and Peggy Jean Stewart of Collinsville, Oklahoma and six grandchildren, Alan Meyer, Steven Snelson, Kevin Snelson, Nicholas Lemay, Nathan Lemay and Elyssa Lemay.
