McAllister Services for John William McAllister will be 11:00 a.m., Fri., Feb. 28th, 2003, Chapel of the Garden, Rice Funeral Service, Claremore, 918-341-0376. Visitation, funeral home 8-8, Thurs. Died Mon., Feb. 24th, 2003, age 33. Born Feb. 15, 1970 in Gillette, WY on Feb. 15th, 1970, to Carol Zook McAllister and Gary McAllister, both of Hoisington, KS. After high school graduation in Great Bend, KS, John served in the Army in Saudi Arabia. He and Kathy Jo Price married May 11, 1991 at Great Bend. With John's Army career, the couple made their first home at Ft. Sill. They spent three years in Germany, and in 1995 returned to Ft. Sill. In `97, John was stationed in Claremore as a recruiter and in 2001, with a new assignment to Bartlesville, the McAllisters and their two sons settled in Skiatook. John represented his country proudly. He set high standards for himself and those around him. He was committed to his family and spending time with them was his first priority. John is survived by his wife, Kathy, of their home in Skiatook; sons, Cody and Colton, also of the home; parents, Carol McAllister and Gary McAllister, both of Hoisington, KS; siblings, Mike McAllister of Sterling, KS, David McAllister of Kansas City, KS and Jaime McAllister of Hoisington; his grandmothers, Jimmie Kimp of Corvallis, MT, and Eloise McAllister of Casper, WY. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, John Zook and William McAllister.
