All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Lone Mountain Cemetery--Carson NV Murguia, Richard Richard Murguia, 68, a resident of Dayton, Nev., for the past five years, passed away on Aug. 26, 2006, at his home. He was born on March 31, 1938, in Dewey, Okla., to Juan and Mary (Leon) Murguia. He had previously lived in Santa Paula, Calif., and the Ventura County area for many years. He married Marion Louise Murguia on May 2, 1958, in Salome, Ariz. He received an Associate in Arts degree and many certifications in the building trade. He was a U.S. Seabee and he retired from the U.S. Navy and U.S. civil service. Richard was awarded the Combat Distinguishing Device, Gallantry Cross, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and many other awards. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Louise, in November 2000; and a brother and sister. He is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Melanie Murguia of Culpeper, Va., and Eugene and Lisa Murguia of Dayton, Nev.; daughter, Terri Murguia of Moundhouse, Nev.; sisters Anita Downey, Rosie Ladd, Teresa Hartley, and Virginia Thomison, all of Dewey, Okla., and Jessie Krider of Boise, Idaho; brothers Salvador Murguia of Tulsa, Okla., Tony and Albert Murguia of Dewey, Okla., and David Murguia of Lone Pine, Calif.; three grandchildren; one great- grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service with military honors will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 31, at Lone Mountain Cemetery in Carson City, Nev. A viewing was held Wednesday, Aug. 30, at FitzHenry's Funeral Home.
