Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Walker-Brown Chapel with the Rev. Marvin Francis officiating. Final committal rites will be accorded in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Walker-Brown Funeral Home. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy, of the home; a son, Fred, of Houston, Texas; two grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Guy and Margaret Clark both of Bartlesville. ========= from 1-19-2003 Examiner Enterprise Ed Nowak Ed Nowak, 87, of Bartlesville died 12:15 p.m. Wednesday at the Forrest Manor Nursing Home in Dewey. Services are scheduled for 2:00p.m. Tuesday in the Walker-Brown Chapel with Rev. Marvin Francis officiating. Final committal rites will be accorded Mr. Nowak in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Walker-Brown Funeral Home. Mr. Nowak was born Aug. 24, 1915 to Edward and Bertha (Sablotne) Nowak in Uniontown, Pa. He came to Bartlesville as a small child. He attended Lincoln Elementary School and Bartlesville Central Junior & Senior High Schools. He graduated in 1933. After graduation he was employed in construction work in Bartlesville. He worked on the Phillips Hotel and Jane Phillips Hospital. He also worked on buildings in Tulsa and at the atomic bomb plant in Hanford, Washington. Returning to Bartlesville in 1957 he was employed at the H.C. Priee Co. until his retirement in 1980. He married Estelle Atkinson in 1941. She passed away in 1978. They had two children, Fred Nowak and Deborah Nowak. On March 6, 1982 he married Dorothy A. Williams and they continued to live in Bartlesville. He was interested in bowling, fishing and regularly attended the Senior Center at the Boy's Club in Bartlesville. Mr. Nowak is survived by his wife Dorothy of the home, his son Fred Nowak of Houston, 2 grandchildren of OKC, 2 sisters, Mary Guy and Margaret Clark of Bartlesville.
