Reber Martin Richard Reber, 78, went to be with his maker on March 24, 2003. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Opal Ella and two sons Joel and Paul. Martin has 6 grandchildren that will miss him dearly. Martin was a Professional Engineer with Phillips Petroleum Co. He was one of the head engineers for the Ecofisk offshore platform in the North Sea near Norway. He loved to build and fly remote control airplanes and was a patient and crafty fisherman. He often had a quick word during a conversation. He liked to make things of wood, there was a large Walnut tree that was struck by lightning on a farm near Chickasha OK that he cut down, sawed into planks and built numerous items out of it, including a rocking cradle for his grandchildren and a flag case for his brother in law. Martin grew up on the shores of Lake Michigan in a little town called Petosky. He served in the Air Force in 1944 and was graduate of Michigan University.
