Rogers Evalee Orlena Rogers, 78, of Bartlesville, died Thursday afternoon at Jane Phillips Medical Center. Services are pending with Neekamp Funeral Home. ========= from 1-12-2003 Examiner Enterprise Evalee O. Rogers Mrs. Evalee Orlena Rogers, widow of Russell E. Rogers and longtime resident of Bartlesville died Thursday afternoon, January 9, 2003, at Jane Phillips Medical Center. Mrs. Rogers was born on April 2, 1924 in Cassville, Missouri, the daughter of Leslie and Eliza Curtis (Hilburn) Chappell. She attended Butterfield, MO schools and Augusta, KS High School. She and Russell E. Rogers were united in marriage on December 24, 1941, in Augusta, KS. Mr. Rogers preceded her in death in 1996. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and she worked as a Realtor with Clarence Wilson. She was an avid golfer, winning the Womens Club Championship at Adams Municipal Course and the State Amateur Championship at Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa. She is survived by a son, Rusty Rogers and wife Tamra of Bartlesville; three brothers, Elbert Chappell and wife Donna of Augusta, KS, J. E. Chappell and wife Alma of Aurora, MO, and John Chappell and wife Joy of Cassville, MO; three sisters, Doris Mark of Fairview, MO, Dorothy Lemon and friend George Ford of Exeter, MO, and Jeannie Scott of Exeter, MO; five grandchildren, Shelly Woods and husband Ronnie of Ramona, Rusty Harvey and wife Teresa of Springdale, AR, Gena Harvey of Bartlesville, Rachel Rogers of Bartlesville, and Ryan Rogers of Bartlesville; five great-grandchildren, Corey Woods, Spenser Woods, Trevor Harvey, Trey Harvey, and Alexis Harvey; and several nieces and nephews. Her husband, parents, a daughter, Debra Lee Rogers, and a sister, Mary Sapp preceded her in death. Funeral services for Mrs. Rogers will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday, in the sanctuary of the First Baptist Church, with Dr. Joe Dan Fowler officiating.
