LaTrice Ringham from 4-15-2003 Examiner Enterprise Mrs. I. LaTrice (Quattlebaum) Ringham, 91, widow of the late C. Russell Ringham, died at 7:35 p.m. on Saturday in Richardson, Texas. Funeral services for Mrs. Ringham will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday in the Bartlesville First United Methodist Church. Rev. Charles Cowell will be the officiant. Committal prayers and interment will be directed in the Memorial Park Cemetery by The Arnold Moore Funeral Service. Mrs. Ringham will lie in state in the Drawing Rooms of The Arnold Moore Funeral Residence where friends may call for their visitation until she is removed to the church for final rites. LaTrice (Quattlebaum) Ringham was born on March 14, 1912 in Stanford, Texas. She was the daughter of the late Rev. J. O. and Alice Ava (Gilliland) Quattlebaum. LaTrice lived many places in Texas and California where her father ministered in the Methodist Church. She received a Bachelors Degree from the West Texas State Teachers College, after which she taught elementary school music in Pampa Camp, Texas. In 1936 she and C. Russell Ringham were married in Canyon, Texas and they made their home in Phillips, Texas and Pampa, Texas. The Ringhams moved to Bartlesville in 1940 where Mr. Ringham continued his employment with the Phillips Petroleum Co. and was retired in 1974 as Executive Director of the Gas and Gasoline Departments. Mr. Ringham preceded her in death in Bartlesville on November 14, 1996. Mrs. Ringham continued her residence in Bartlesville until moving to Richardson, Texas in February 2002 to live near her son and daughter-in-law. Music was LaTrice's passion, and she spent many years of dedicated service in organizations such as the Bartlesville Musical Research Society, was past president of the Oklahoma Federation of Music Clubs and was on the executive board and had served as chairperson of the National Federation of Music Clubs. LaTrice also had been a member of the Oklahoma Governor's Fine Arts Board, and was instrumental in establishing the Community Concerts program in Bartlesville. She was once selected as the Outstanding Woman of the Year in Bartlesville. She is survived by a son, Lee O. and his wife Mary Jayne Ringham, Richardson, Texas; a daughter, Mrs. Tom L. (Beverly A.) Nichols, Tulsa, Okla.; four grandchildren, Richard R. Ringham, Michael L. Ringham, Deborah A. Ringham and Laura L.
