Sachen Albert James Sachen, 79, of Bartlesville, died 4:20 p.m. Wednesday at the Jane Phillips Medical Center. Services are pending with Walker-Brown Funeral Home ========= from 1-10-2003 Examiner Enterprise Albert J. Sachen Albert James Sachen, 79, died Wednesday at Jane Phillips Medical Center. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. James Catholic Church. Rosary service will be 7 p.m. at the Walker-Brown Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Fawn Creek Cemetery in Tyro, Kan., under the direction of Walker- Brown Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Walker-Brown Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. ========= from 1-12-2003 Examiner Enterprise Albert J. Sachen Al Sachen, 79 passed away January 8, 2003 at Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Services were held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday January 11, 2003 at the Community of St. James Catholic Church. Visitation will be held Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary service at 7:00 p.m. at the Walker-Brown Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in the Fawn Creek Cemetery in Tyro, Kansas. Arrangements are under the direction of Walker-Brown Funeral Home. Mr. Sachen was born on April 6, 1923 to Thomas Joseph and Suzana Dorothy (Frankovich) Sachen in Kansas City, Kansas. He graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in engineering. He married Marilyn Joyce (Bell). Mr. Sachen was employed with Phillips Petroleum Company in the refinery department in Kansas City, Kansas from 1957-1979 then they moved to Bartlesville where he was associated with Phillips Petroleum Company until his retirement in 1985. Mr. Sachen was a member of the Community of St. James Catholic Church, Elks Lodge, American Legion, V.F.W., Society of Professional Engineers, and the Kansas State Alumni. He is survived by his wife Marilyn, of the home, 2 sisters, Josephine Jakowatz of Kansas City, KS and Anne Marie Rogers of Wichita, KS., 2 step-sons, Rick Barnhart & his wife Kathy of Havana, KS., Jack Barnhart and his wife Delores, Father-in-law, Jay Bell of Havana, KS., brother-in-law, James Bell & his wife Dolores of Kansas City, MO., sister-in-law, Lois Vorderbruegge of Wichita, KS., numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Mr. Sachen was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
