Old Pioneer Passes Away at His Home-Funeral Today

W.R. Shap, age 70 died at his home nine miles southeast of this city 
yesterday afternoon.,

Besides his wife he leaves two sons, Ellis and Lee, and three daughters, 
Crystal, Delila and Florence. And scores of friends to mourn his loss.

The funeral will be held today at two o'clock from the home and interment 
made in the Sand Lake cemetery. Notice will be given when the funeral will 
be preached.

The deceased was a pioneer of this county and has lived in the same place 
for 23 years. Sept 24, 1910 front page

The funeral of Mr. W.R. Shoup will be held Sunday at 11 am at Fish Creek 
School house.  Mrs Thorpe will preach .  Rev. Bloyd should have preached 
but he is out of town.
