Sherer Mr. John G. Sherer, 84, of Bartlesville, died at 6:40 P.M. Tuesday at the Heritage Villa Nursing Center. Funeral services for Mr. Sherer will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday at the Dewey Cemetery Pavilion with Dr. C.B. Colaw officiating. Funeral services and interment will be under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home. Mr. Sherer was born on March 29, 1918 at Sterling, Colorado to Greger and Christine (Leckler) Sherer. He grew up and received his education in the Beatrice, Nebraska area. Mr. Sherer served with the U.S. Army in the European Theatre during World War II. Following his Honorable Discharge he was married to Norma Lucille Colgrove on June 28, 1947 at Washington, Kansas. They lived in Beatrice, Nebraska until moving to Colorado Springs, Colorado, where they lived for 22 years. They retired and moved to Bartlesville in 1979. Mrs. Sherer preceded him in death on April 2, 1995 and Mr. Sherer continued his home in Bartlesville. He was a member of the First Wesleyan Church. Mr. Sherer is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Steve (Gayle) Burden and Mrs. Doug (Nancy) Berry both of Bartlesville, two brothers, Roy Sherer and his wife, Doris of Kansas City, Missouri and Robert Sherer and his wife, Marilyn of Longmont, Colorado, four grandchildren, Kari Revard, Katie Burden-Siemers, Emily Berry, and Sarah Berry, and two great grandchildren, Braydon Revard and Kaleigh Revard.
