Tedlock Glenna Tedlock, 99, longtime resident of Bartlesville, died at 4:30 p.m. Friday at Shawn Manor Nursing Home in Ponca City. The funeral service will be held Monday, Jan. 6, 2003, at 10 a.m. at Grace Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Dr. J.D. Ward, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. A graveside service will held at 2 p.m. at Nowata Memorial Park Cemetery in Nowata. Arrangements are under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel in Ponca City. Mrs. Tedlock was born April 29, 1903, in Randleman, N.C. to Robert Lendo LaMar and Leolia Lea Coble LaMar. Glenna, her parents and her oldest brother came to Oklahoma in 1908, settling near Nowata. Glenna attended school at Coody's Bluff and Alluwe. She first met Walter Earl "Ted" Tedlock when she was thirteen years old, at which time she told a friend, "There is my husband." Four years later, they were married on Dec. 8, 1920, in Nowata. They had two children, Betty Jean Tedlock, later DeNoya, and a son who died at birth. Glenna worked at Edwards Apparel Inc. in Bartlesville for over 40 years, where she worked with customers and regularly traveled to market in Dallas at Mr. Edwards request to select and purchase clothing for the store. Glenna loved her friends and family dearly. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert L LaMar, her mother, Lealia Lea Coble LaMar, her husband, Walter Earl Tedlock, her daughter, Betty Jean Tedlock DeNoya, her son who died at birth, her brothers Robert Virrel LaMar and Lester Kenneth LaMar and her sister Helen Louise LaMar Stewart. She is survived by her younger brother Wayne Leon LaMar of Red Eagle, five grandsons, Louis Jay, Michael Earl, Clement Dean, Arthur Lee and Ted Christopher DeNoya, seven great grandchildren, five great, great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Glenna was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church. She drew great comfort from her faith.
