Teeter George E. Teeter, 85, resident of rural Bartlesville, died at 6:10 PM on Tuesday at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday in the New Harmony Baptist Church with Rev. Tom Cox, Rev. Bill Moore officiating Pastor Michael McNair will be the honorary minister. Interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory. A memorial has been established with the American Cancer Society, Care of Kathy Leeper, P.O. Box 1094, Bartlesville, Oklahoma 74005 for those who wish to donate in his memory. George E. Teeter was born on June 7, 1921 at McLave, Colorado the son of Luther and Lula (Sargent) Teeter. He was raised in the Weatherby, Missouri area. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He married Gladys Virginia Edwards on June 5, 1948 at Bartlesville. She preceded him in death on May 17, 1994. He then married Geneva Alexander on November 2, 1996 at Weatherby, Missouri. He worked as a core maker for REDA Pump for 36 years. He was a member of the Westside Southern Baptist Church where he served as Chairman of the Deacons. He was a member of the American Legion Post 105, the V.F.W. and the Eagles Lodge. George is survived by his wife Geneva of the home, two sons; Kendall Earl Teeter and Steven Lee Teeter and his wife Teresa all of Bartlesville, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren and a special nephew; Charles Wright of Weatherby, Missouri. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Washington County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/washington/washington.html
