All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Odd Fellows Lawn Cemetery--Sacramento CA Napa Valley Register Wednesday, May 09, 2007 Joanne Thomas NAPA - Hazel “Joanne” Thomas passed away May 4, 2007, with her loving family by her side. She was born to Harry and Georgia Knapp on Aug. 27, 1923, in Bartlesville, Okla. She lived there until 1940, when she moved to Sacramento. Joanne married Fred C. Thomas Oct. 24, 1942, in Washoe County, Nev., and remained married for 64 years. During that time, they moved to Yountville in 1949, and then to Napa in 1970 to the present. In the early 1950s, Joanne worked for the Napa State Hospital for a brief time. She was a homemaker first and foremost, and cared for her family for 64 years. Her first love was her family; she also loved gardening and trips to the ocean beaches to go fishing. Joanne is survived by husband, Fred C. Thomas of Napa; daughter Linda L. Thomas of San Francisco; son Chris F. Thomas of Redding; son Peter S. Thomas of Napa; granddaughter Jaime D. Ferguson of Sacramento; granddaugter Alexis N. Thomas of Redding; grandson Joel A. Thomas of Napa; granddaughter Jennifer D. Thomas of Clackamas, Ore.; grandson Steven C. Thomas of Napa. Services will be held graveside 1 p.m. Friday, May 12, at Odd Fellows Lawn Cemetery, 2720 Riverside Blvd., Sacramento. There will be a visitation Thursday, May 10, from noon to 8 p.m. at Richard Pierce Funeral Service, 1660 Silverado Trail, Napa.
