All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Veatch, Roger "Dewey" 1916 - 2005 Roger "Dewey" Veatch, 88, passed away Sunday, Feb. 27, 2005. Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Friday in Greenwood Chapel. Burial: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Greenwood Funeral Home. Dewey was born March 28, 1916, in Dewey, Okla. Big D was a Navy veteran and was also in the CC Camp. He retired from General Dynamics and was a used car dealer. He was a charter member in the American Legions of Fort Worth. Dewey was preceded in death by a son, Donald Monroe "Hoot" Veatch; and a daughter, Dewey Qua "June" Church. Survivors: Wife of 64 years, Mary June Veatch; daughter, Jonny Lynn Veatch Franklin; sons, Roger "Snowball" Veatch and Ronnie Edgar Veatch; sons-in- law, Von Church and Douglas W. Franklin, all of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Rodney, Gary, Mary and Vicki; great-grandchildren, Mallory, Lauren and Christin; brother-in-law, Jess McPherson of Odessa; sister-in-law, Jewel Mathers of Denver City; friend, Ford Arrington of Fort Worth; and numerous nieces and nephews.
