All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Surnames: WEIGL, BOWLES, SHORT, BECK, REDD from 2-25-2003 Examiner Enterprise Roger Weigl Mr. Roger Weigl, 82, of Bartlesville, died at 3:18 a.m. Monday in the St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday in the Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Paul Bowles of the First United Methodist Church officiating. Private entombment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established for the First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 1136, Bartlesville, Oklahoma, 74005. Mr. Weigl completed his schooling and served in the U.S. Navy Air Force during World War II, ultimately retiring as a Lt. Commander in the reserves. He retired in 1982 after a 36 year career with Phillips Petroleum Co. as Manager, Excise Taxes. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the American Legion. He was a loving husband and father. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Barbara, daughters, Karen Short, Boulder, Colorado, Julie Beck, San Antonio, Texas, son-in-law Ralph Beck, four grandchildren, a brother, John Weigl, Miami, Ok. and a sister, Shirley Redd, Galena, Ks.
