Watson Lyda May Watson, age 87, died January 22, 2003 at the Bartlesville Care Center. Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 25, at the IOOF Cemetery in Watonga, OK. Arrangements are under the direction of Walker-Brown Funeral Home. Lyda was born November 13, 1915 in Hitchcock, OK to Ivan and Mabel (Wakefield) May. She grew up and received her education in Hitchcock, graduating from high school in 1933. She married Clarence Watson on August 14, 1936 in Perry, OK. They lived in Glendale, CA for several years and moved to Osage, OK when Mr. Watson returned from service after WWII. She attended the First Baptist Church in Osage and continued to live in Osage after her husbands death in 1972. She moved to the Bartlesville Care Center in 1995. She is survived by a son, Gene Watson and his wife Joyce of Bartlesville, 2 granddaughters, Gayla Rocco and husband Michael of Frisco, TX, Cindy Keever and husband Ken of Norman, OK, 1 grandson, Watson Rocco of Frisco, TX, and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Mary Cargo of Bartlesville and Ethyl Daigle of Del City, OK.
