Dorothy M. Whaling

Mrs. Dorothy Mildred Whaling, age 77, widow of Wayne Whaling and longtime 
resident of Ochelata, died Sunday evening February 2, 2003 at Jane 
Phillips Medical Center.

Funeral services for Mrs. Whaling will be held at 2:30 PM on Wednesday in 
the Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Donald Hazelwood of the Wesleyan 
Holiness Church of Bartlesville, officiating. Interment will be in the 
Ochelata Cemetery under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home.

A memorial has been established and those who wish to make a contribution 
in memory of Dorothy may do so to: the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society 
Oklahoma Chapter 3613 N.W. 56th Street # 230, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 
73112.

Dorothy was born on May 10th 1925 near Ochelata, the daughter of Walter 
and Dessie Prather. In 1968 she and Wayne Whaling were married and made 
their home near Ochelata, Oklahoma. She was loved by many and will be 
missed greatly by all.

She is survived by her children; one daughter Joyce Crawford of Ochelata; 
two sons Charles Stewart of Ramona and Howard Stewart of Tahlequah; nine 
grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
