Walker, ED.D, 60, of Billings, died Friday, April 27, 2007, at home peacefully, after a battle with cancer. Lorrin is survived by his parents, Floyd and Virginia Walker of Bartlesville, Okla.; brother, Jim (Linda) Walker of Cleveland, Okla.; son and daughter, Christopher Walker of Tulsa, Okla., and Sharon Walker of Billings; and life partner, April Kowalchuk of Billings. After growing up in Bartlesville, Lorrin and his wife Barbara became missionaries for the Methodist Church in Cochabamba, Bolivia, in the early '70s. After returning to the states, he earned a Ph.D. from Oklahoma State University. After moving to Billings in the '80s he helped form The Threshold Group, where he was a mental health counselor until 2003. Among many other things, he became a consultant and a reviewer for CARF, which allowed him to travel and do the job that he loved. Lorrin will be remembered most for his positive impact on countless families and individuals, and for his wonderful sense of humor. He lived his life to the fullest and had so much fun along the way.
