Graveside services were held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Bartlesville with Pastor Orville Moody of the Rose Hill Community Baptist Church officiating, directed by the Stumpff Funeral Home. Mr. Yates was born July 2, 1940 at Bartlesville, the son of William J. and Louise M. (Benefiel) Yates. He moved to California when he was a teenager and graduated from the Baldwin Park high School there with the class of 1958. he lived most of his life in California, moving back to Bartlesville in 1993. Paul had worked as a truck driver for the Bekins Moving and Storage Company and later for the McDonald-Douglas Aircraft manufacturing Company. He was a member of the Teamsters Union and the S.P.E.B.S.Q.S.A. Mr. Yates is survived by his mother, Louise M. Yates, of Bartlesville; two brothers, Billy C. Yates and his wife, Pat, of St. Augustine Beach, Florida, and Gary A. Yates of Portland, Maine; one sister, June Braden and her husband, Bill of Glenview, Illinois; two nieces, two nephews, many aunts and uncles and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father.
